Somehow I can’t believe there are any heights that can’t be scaled by a man who knows the secret of making dreams come true. This special secret, it seems to me, can be summarized in four C’s. They are Curiosity, Confidence, Courage, and Constancy and the greatest of these is Confidence. When you believe a thing, believe it all the way, implicitly and unquestionably. -Walt Disney A conference full of inspiration and magic! If there is one thing I took {Read More}
Garden the natural way with Whitney Farms Plant Food
This post brought to you by Whitney Farms. All opinions are 100% mine. It’s a funny thing, but when I get new plants each Spring to grow on my porch…I find myself getting really attached to them. And maybe that makes me a little silly, but I try to make sure I take good care of them and give them everything they need. One thing I never gave much thought to was what kind of plant food I was using…but {Read More}
Adventures at The Downtown Aquarium Houston
Rainbow Fish. I love taking day trips on the weekends with Jackson. It’s always fun to discover something new and watch his eyes grow with wonder when we visit places like the Downtown Aquarium. We are on a kick right now where we don’t want to wear shoes. Ever. If you have not visited the Houston Downtown Aquarium yet I suggest giving it a try. The exhibits are nice and so is the A/C. It’s especially good if you go {Read More}
Our delicious time with Tillamook #LoafLove *GIVEAWAY*
As if participating in my first 5K was not a cool enough way to spend last Saturday…it got even cooler later that afternoon when Jackson and I had lunch and spent the afternoon with the great folks from Tillamook Cheese. Not only did I get a photo with one of the super cute Baby Loaf buses that are traveling the country right now to share the #LoafLove cheesy goodness of Tillamook, but I also got to participate in a fun {Read More}
The Easter Seals Walk With Me 5K was a blast!
Jackson and I got up early this past Saturday and headed over to the Houston Zoo to help raise money for the Easter Seals as part of their Walk With Me event! Cold but ready to go! It was SO cold, but I bundled Jackson up and we got ready to walk! It was such a beautiful day and I really enjoyed being able walk around the zoo before it opened to the public. We even got to see many {Read More}
By The Sea
Nothing is more therapeutic for me than an afternoon spent stress free in a beautiful place. Last weekend Jackson and I headed down to Galveston Island State Park for just such a day. These are some of the photos I took while there. Enjoy!
Eosinophilic Esophagitis, Allergies, and GI Surgery…. OH MY!
Blurry, but still cute! If there is one word that comes to mind when I think of Jackson, it is resilient. This little boy, despite a myriad of health and developmental issues never fails to surpass everyone’s expectations and blow us all away. In February after some extensive testing, we found out that one of the reasons Jackson has such issues with gagging and vomiting is because he has a condition called Eosinophilic Esophagitis. It is as confusing a condition {Read More}
The Bluebonnets are back!
Last year I was so sad when the drought caused the bluebonnets to shrivel up and die before we could get photos in them. This Spring we have had plenty of rain and they are back in full force, so this past weekend we headed out for our annual tradition of Bluebonnet photos. See our past years photos. Here are the photos we got this year. These were taken by Jacksons grandma on my phone (because I’m super forgetful and {Read More}
He’s on a horse!
Over Christmas break Jackson’s grandparents took him horseback riding for the very first time! Although Jackson and I had previously had the opportunity to visit with and brush miniature ponies and cows at a farm last summer…this was first time he actually got to ride one. Jackson was a little scared at first, but Grandma told me that after a few minutes he perked right up and enjoyed it. I think he looks so cute with his little helmet on {Read More}
