I’m proud of this one

I shot this photo over the weekend. When I loaded my photos onto the computer last night and came across it, it completely took my breath away. Every now and then I take a photo that is so good I surprise myself.I shot this particular one in manual…so I’m especially proud. I hope your weekend was just as delightful as mine. P.S. 5 days till my birthday! Squee!

You Capture – Depth of Field

So, I’m still learning this whole “depth of field” thing….but this is kind of the idea. Right? These photos were taken during my Trek Across Texas, at Monahans Sandhills State Park. I’ll be home later today…and will begin sorting through all 1000 of my photos.It will be so hard to decide which ones to show you all. For more You Capture goodness, visit Beth’s Blog.

This weeks You Capture topic was just perfect for April in Texas. That’s because it’s Bluebonnet time here right now! The Bluebonnet is Texas’ state flower and we are proud of them. Read about past Bluebonnet pictures HERE and HERE. I had a blast shooting these this year! These smell SO good!} I think it might finally be paying off too.  {Daffodil} Each time I catch a glimpse of these blossoms, my heart is lifted just a little. I’m so glad Spring is here. In Bloom

After years of questioning my worth and abilities, I’m finally starting to come into my own. I’m so proud of myself all of a sudden. I’m a good wife and mother and I get better at both everyday. I love who I am right now and I adore where I’m going.

Mums

Some of my freshly bloomed mums! I’ve probably said this before, but I just love photo editing in Picnik! That’s it for today because I need vacuum, mop, and dust. Hope you have a great afternoon!

Flowers bring inexpensive happiness

And a burst of color after a drab winter! Or at least that’s how I feel about the new flowers I planted in my container garden this past week. For less than $50 ($25 of which I spent on pots and soil last year) spent at my local mega store, I was able to establish my own little porch garden! With a little fertilizer and some love these guys should look great and bring me plenty of happiness through the {Read More}
